more updates...

so as i'm planning my europe trip, things change constantly. ("the only constant is change.") and i'm in need of some advice... what do i do? what do i see? where do i go? if you've been to europe, what were your favorite places and sights? if not, what have you heard that piques your interest, or have you heard is not to miss? i'm also thinking of adding greece to that list of countries. and i'm thinking i'll only do germany if i end up going to oktoberfest with friends. which may or may not happen, we'll see. oh, and the time-table has been shifted a bit to around sept 20 thru the end of oct. we shall see!!

in other news, i feel like God has blessed me these past few months to learn from watching others. He has given me an uncanny ability to see what others miss, or at least don't vocalize, when it comes to relationships. and i'm learning what it is like to be a responsible friend - to tell others what i am learning at the appropriate time, or to keep my mouth shut. i'm definitely learning that one by trial and error, but my eyes are definitely more open to it recently than they ever have been before. i feel especially blessed by this because i usually have a ridiculously difficult time analyzing myself and learning from my own experiences. with the perspective God gives me in others, i am able to see more clearly what is really going on and how to best proceed. it's neat.

life is good...

so, i was just reminded by an old friend that i should probably update my blog. so here goes:

the past few weeks have been great. i have really enjoyed sleeping in, cleaning my room, painting my room, babysitting a couple of days, making mix cd's for friends (it's coming, NF!), planning my trip to Europe, connecting with friends old and new, having truths pounded a little deeper into my brain, breaking away from the status quo a little bit more, lounging on the beach, reading stories of other people's travel adventures and mishaps, buying new pants, watching movies, going to busch gardens, staying up late, and just enjoying life again.

and yes, you read that right. there is not any work in that statement(no real work, just babysitting). i do plan to work, at least some, since i have to save for europe! :-D yeah, i've got a rough itenerary planned now, including iceland, spain, morocco, france, italy, austria, switzerland, and perhaps germany. we'll see how it all goes down! the time frame is roughly from the 1st or 2nd week of sept to the 3rd or 4th week of october. i've got a couple of travel buddies (still looking for more! talk to me if you're interested!) for parts of the trip, and a few friends i want to visit along the way. woohoo!!! and man, am i excited!

so that's about it for now. thanks for tuning in!
