song lyrics

The J Band - Take Our Turn lyrics

Looking down a young man's seen
Waltzing once past everything
He takes a knee and pray
A father trains his king to be
It's the night that he runs free
He walks along castle walls
And looks upon, did he give up it all

Hey, we lay our burdens down,
Lord we burn 'em to the ground
Hey, we'll take our turn and die
For our souls to come to life

He found himself in foreign land
No one else with him to stand
But the mad man, the drunkard, and he
Together they went traveling on,
Singin' "Friends, we have become."
He turns to the call
Oh, he gave up it all

Hey, we lay our burdens down,
Lord, we burn 'em to the ground
Hey, we'll take our turn and die
For our souls to come alive

He remembers this one time when he
Saw a small child,
For one moment give one, one small smile
He thought that maybe,
That maybe the smile was meant for him
That the smile was meant for him

Hey, we lay our burdens down,
Lord, we burn 'em to the ground
Hey, we take our turn and die
For our souls to come to life

One of my favorite songs... but you got the lyrics wrong and I think it changes the meaning drastically.

Waltzing once past everything
should be
wanting what's past everything

He walks along caste walls, and looks upon there, he would give up it all.

Only reason I post is the song is ridiculously meaningful. The most important lines are the two there were mistakes in haha. He was not dancing, he was looking at everything, everything he had, but he wanted something past that, something better, or less materialistic.

The next being, looks upon it all and he would give up it all. It wasn't wondering if he gave it up. It was saying he looked at everything he could have, and he would give it all up for a life.

That is the chorus, he lays his burdens down (gives up what was his) and burns it to the ground (can never come back)

Take our turn and die so our soles may come alive (live a life worth living)

Later he found himself in a foreign land without his old life. Only a madman and a drunk with him. But they were so happy to have friendship and love.

He turns to the call (his old life wanted him back and he listened)
Oh he gave up it all (he gave it up, and he will never go back)

when he saw the child (it was life, god, his sole, or whatever, saying it was ok. It was not a smile of happiness, it was a smile of approval)

Sorry, this was longer than expected, but it is a touching story that still applies today. These well-to-do families force their own lives on their children. This child realized he didn't care about the money and wealth, just happiness and friends...and he got it. More people should live like this.

You spelled "soles" instead of "souls", next time you critique someone make sure your correct yourself.
